Upgrading a Shilen’s Soul Crystal
Compound a Shilen's Soul Crystal Stage 1-9 with Shilen's Soul to upgrade it to the next stage. Upgrading a Shilen’s Soul Crystal can fail at any level as there is no safe upgrade level. When upgrading is unsuccessful on a Shilen's Soul Crystalthe Shilen's Soul and Shilen's Soul Crystal will be destroyed, and you will receive a Scattered Soul Fragment. The Fragment can be sold at a Vendor NPC for 1,500,000 Adena (5% tax).
Applying Shilen’s Soul Crystal to a Weapon
Visit any Blacksmith NPC in town and select one of seven different special abilities for your weapon. The effect will depend on the stage of the Shilen’s Soul Crystal. Note that Shilen's Soul Crystal cannot be used in the same weapon slot as the Mystic Soul Crystal and will overrwrite the Mystic Soul Crystal if you do have one equipped already in the 3rd soul crystal weapon slot.
